Inspirational Bonnyrigg teenager Robyn Martin is one of the chosen few to carry the Olympic torch as it makes its way around Britain and Ireland.
The S6 Lasswade High pupil will be a torchbearer in Carlisle on June 21.
She joins a select group of Midlothian residents involved in the torch relay across Scotland and the north of England at the end of June. The torch makes its way from Musselburgh to Penicuik, via Dalkeith, Lasswade, Loanhead, Bilston and Milton Bridge, on June 14.
Robyn was nominated by her brother Shaun (15) in recognition of her tireless voluntary work and for helping the family care for their father Michael (57), who was left paralysed down his right side after suffering a stroke five years ago.
