Unorthodox fitness classes in Midlothian are proving that people need not get off their backsides in order to improve their health.
If fact the sessions, held weekly in Gorebridge and Lasswade, encourage participants to do the exact opposite.
Run by Lluisa Juste, the seated yoga/pilates classes are designed to help people who have injuries, various illnesses, and/or a lack of mobility.
For Jacqueline McDonnell, who has Multiple Sclerosis, the class has been a godsend.
She explained: “I can genuinely say that the exercises are really working my core muscles and improving my posture.”
