Midstock Festival has announced the first round of acts for this year’s event, offering something to suit every musical taste.

The main headliner has yet to be announced for the festival at Dalkeith Country Park on Saturday, September 3, but to get the party started, the organisers have announced the following acts on the line up so far: nineties Dutch pop sensations Vengaboys, DJ Dave Pearce, Animals and Friends, Maltese rockers Airport Impressions, Scottish indie band Jamie & Shoony, as well as talented local solo artists Jack Robertson and Caitlyn Vanbeck.

Arlene Stuart, co-presenter of Forth One Breakfast Show, Boogie In The Morning, will once again compere the show.

Wullie Slight and Scott Gunn, organisers of Midstock Festival, are ready to rock Dalkeith Country Park for the third year running.

Wullie said: “We are delighted to have all of these great acts coming to Dalkeith this year.

“The festival seems to grow and grow and we hope 2016 is the best yet.

“We’ve still to sign our headliners for the day but the line up as it stands should give everyone a really great, fun day out in a beautiful setting.

“All we can hope for now is the weather to be kind!”

The addition of two local performers, Edinburgh’s Jack Robertson and former X-Factor contestant Caitlyn Vanbeck from Tranent, cements the show’s policy of supporting the Scottish music scene as well as the Lothians’ community. Family friendly Midstock Festival will also have a range of food and drink outlets as well as fairground rides and stalls.

Tickets are on sale now at midstockfestival.com. An adult must accompany under 16s. Early bird tickets are available now but with limited availability.
