Missing elderly man with dementia is found

AN ELDERLY man with dementia missing overnight in Edinburgh has been found.

Robert Haldane who was reported missing from the Prospect Bank Road area on Saturday was found in Lochend on Sunday morning.

He is currently receiving medical attention from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Police have thanked members of the public who helped with the search.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “At the request of Police Scotland we attended to a male in his 80s after receiving at call 9.49am.

“Paramedics treated him for hypothermia on the scene before taking him to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment.”
