Pensioners of St Nicholas’ Church lunch club in Dalkeith recently invited Scottish Labour’s Finance spokesperson Iain Gray to join them.

The East Lothian Labour MSP took the opportunity to discuss the future of Scottish pensions in the event of independence.

He said:

“Pensions are where our ability to pool and share resources across 60 million rather than five million works for Scotland. It means that every Scottish pensioner is almost £500 better off as part of the UK.

“With fewer than 60 days to go until Scot’s go to the polls, it’s still unclear what a Yes vote will mean for Scotland’s pensioners.”
