MSP Colin Beattie has met with representatives from Amey and Transport Scotland to discuss proposed road improvements on the A68 in Pathhead.
The SNP MSP previously raised concerns regarding this stretch of road. The intention is to put proposals to a public consultation for residents and local organisations within the next few weeks.
Mr Beattie said: ‘The A68 through Pathhead has long been in need of improvements and I’m pleased to see Amey and Transport Scotland get the ball rolling. This is the positive start I’ve been looking for. Their initial plans definitely look like they will iron out many of the current issues, although I have concerns over the revised road crossing proposals and I will continue to press for further revisions.”
