Newtongrange museum wins praise

A MIDLOTHIAN visitor attraction has been highlighted as a shining example of innovative development.

The National Mining Museum Scotland earned praise at the launch of a new national strategy for museums and galleries.

The Lady Victoria complex at Newtongrange is described as “a successful, highly ambitious landmark project”, which has raised its profile by “providing a best-practice example of increased ambition and innovative partnership working.”
