A GRASSROOTS leisure foundation is facing a £15,000 bill to put right building work at Ladywood Leisure Centre.
The self-funding Penicuik Community Sport and Leisure Foundation has pledged to fight on, despite what it describes as a “nightmare” building project.
The group awarded Scotia Construction the £53,000 contract for an extension at the centre.
The creation of a storage room for sports equipment, which started in March last year, was expected to take 30 days – but remedial work continues.
