Midlothian will be in the grips of Olympic fever when the iconic torch is transported through county streets on June 14.
Residents, both young and old alike, are expected to line designated routes to cheer on runners who will carry the famous flame.
Newbattle woman Erika Pryde (50), an assistant commissioner with the Scouts who spends much of her free time working with youngsters at Newbattle Parish Church, will carry the torch through Loanhead.
A youth leader since the age of 21, the married planning officer at Midlothian Council takes a weekly Sunday School class and also volunteers at a church-run holiday club every summer.
