My hair is like a straw hat and I'm getting desperate – Hayley Matthews

It's been months since I've had a trim and whilst it may seem a bit of a "first world problem" my hair is like a straw hat!

I'm still breastfeeding which means my hair hasn't fallen out yet. For those that don't know, when you're pregnant your hair gets all these amazing hormone boosts to it and once you have your baby your hormones drop and your hair can sometimes start to fall out.

If you breastfeeding, these hormones keep going. So I'm two-and-a-bit years into no hair loss which might sound appealing to some but trust me, when you have thick frizzy hair that just keeps growing and getting thicker, even a once-a-week wash feels like a huge effort.

I'm tempted to let my partner set about it with the clippers – not to do a baldy on my head, but just to try and do a trim along the edges.

I've been up at all hours of the morning watching Brad Mondo (hairdresser and video content star!) talking through loads of hair videos and I reckon I could get a decent "at home" hairdo done with some gentle persuasion, as long as I hide the vodka beforehand.

I'm really not sure if this is a new low for entertainment in our household or if I've just become so fed up looking like a straw head that I'm ready to let Mr Hayley loose on my barnet with the clippers.

Either that or my nine-year-old can have a go at drawing a straight line with the clippers.

How desperate are you ladies? Would you let your partner cut your hair?
