Our Hub’s a real page turner

Lila Shedden, five, and Melissa Whatley, seven, enjoy some fresh reading material at the new £5.7 million Drumbrae Library Hub, which was officially opened by the Lord Provost on Friday.

The hub provides a “one-stop shop” for a range of activities and events, such as computer classes and author visits. It also provides services such as adult day care, as well as housing the Drumbrae and Gyle Police Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Children at the opening event had a go at an arts and crafts session, one of several activities that will now be available in the new building.
