Three female members of an award-winning Midlothian music collective will be appearing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe next month.
Amy Geddes, Sophie Bancroft and Karine Polwart of the Pathhead Music Collective are each involved in shows at the world’s biggest arts festival.
Karine Polwart’s headline show at the Queens Hall is part of the Made in Scotland Showcase at the festival.
Meanwhile, soulful singer songwriter Sophie Bancroft joins Los Angeles pianist Louis Durra for shows at the Jazz Bar on Chambers Street on August 12,13 and 18.
And another member of the collective, Amy Geddes, is performing in a Fringe show by the Scottish Stepdance Company, at the Acoustic Music Centre, St Brides on August 12,13 and 15.
‘Galloway to Gaidhealtachd’ will see the Pathhead Music Collective member collaborate with fellow Scottish traditional music artists Rory Campbell, Alison Carlyle and Kevin MacKenzie.
