This week’s featured cat is Toby. This lovely jet-black boy is two years old and has a beautiful sleek, shiny coat.
Toby came to Lothian Cat Rescue’s shelter after being bullied by other cats in his previous home, so he can be a little shy about other cats and would need to be rehomed somewhere where he would be the only cat. Despite this, Toby loves human company and is a very friendly, affectionate lad.
He does like to go outside from time to time, but because his confidence needs building up, he would probably need his new owner to accompany him, at least until he becomes a little braver.
Staff at the shelter think he may be an Oriental-mix because of his features.
Could Toby be the perfect feline friend for you and your family? Why not contact Lothian Cat Rescue and arrange to see Toby or the many other cat currently being cared for at their shelter?
Meanwhile, Henry, the grey-and-white tabby who was featured in our Paws for Thought column last week, has found his “fur-ever” home and has gone to live with his new owner.
Lothian Cat Rescue are busy preparing for their next fundraising venture – an open day on Sunday, July 29, from 2pm to 4pm. There will be a host of attractions, including a tombola, home baking and stalls, so why not pop along and give them your support?
