Penalty for Dalkeith shop manager

A FORMER Dalkeith shop manager has been punished for failing an underage alcohol test purchase.

Tejinder Singh Bath recently had his personal licence endorsed for five years by members of the Midlothian Licensing Board.

Mr Bath was working at Costcutter, 1 Jarnac Court, last July when the illegal sale took place. A plain clothes police officer was in the shop to view the sale.

The board suspended the shop’s premises licence last November, prohibiting the sale of alcohol for seven days.

Agent Alistair Macdonald said Mr Bath worked at Costcutter at the time of the incident and was the individual who sold the test purchaser the alcohol.
