The recently-formed Penicuik Community Choir is going from strength to strength with its repertoire of songs from classical to pop.
The group was established almost three years ago when approaches were made to Elizabeth McKeon to meet local demand.
Elizabeth, who had more than 20 years’ experience teaching music, decided to give it a go.
The fledgling choir started in August 2011 with 20 members. Its aim was to promote community spirit, fun and the pleasure of singing together.
With Elizabeth as musical director and her husband Andrew as choir master, the group has flourished.
