Penicuik forced to make changes for Masterton final

Stuart&Stuart Penicuik have made a couple of changes to their side as they get ready for the Murgitroyd Masterton Trophy final this evening with Mazars Grange at Grange Loan (6pm).

The Twenty20 encounter was due to take place at Carlton’s ground last Friday night, but an afternoon downpour scuppered those plans.

With Stuart Chalmers and Kris Steel both unavailable Calum Steel and Richard Adams come into the starting XI named by Penicuik skipper Chris Ashforth.

They will start the match as underdogs, but have been in fine form in the Baillie Gifford ESCA Championship of late.

Grange are boosted by the return of Scotland skipper Preston Mommsen from international duty while Doug Philip is also in the XI named by captain Andrew Brock.

Also in the team is teenage spinner Andrew Appleton after he impressed on his top-team debut against Clydesdale in the Citylets Scottish Cup last Sunday.
