Penicuik police hunt topless vandal

Police want to trace a topless man who smashed a window at the Belgian Consulate, on the corner of West Street, Penicuik.

The man may have cut himself as he broke the window at around 6pm on Saturday, July 23. Police have recovered traces of blood for analysis.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said the consultate appeared to have been a “random target”.

The suspect is described as 20 to 21 years, 5ft 4in tall, of medium build with short light coloured hair. He was wearing blue jeans.
