A Penicuik primary school has received a glowing report from Education Scotland inspectors.
It was found that well-behaved and motivated children keen to learn at Cornbank St James Primary were a key strength.
Other favourable areas were the commitment of staff to continue to improve their practice and children’s learning experiences, children’s learning experiences in the local community, and the parents’ contribution to the life of the school.
HM Inspector Hakim Din said: “We are satisfied with the overall quality of provision. We are confident that the school’s self-evaluation processes are leading to improvements.”
