B&M Bargains is to take over The Co-operative store in Penicuik town centre.
Staff at the Kentigern Mall store, which still trades under the Somerfield name, will be retained during the change, which takes effect from Monday May 16. It is intended the store will re-open for business in early June.
There are seven full-time and 21 part-time employees who will transfer, maintaining their conditions of employment.
B&M has confirmed that its store will continue to sell cigarettes, beers, wines and spirits and will remain a National Lottery outlet.
