Care home holds 'Lasswade Grand National'
Residents and staff at local care home Drummond Grange in Lasswade celebrated the Grand National last weekend by having their own one.
The annual Grand National is always celebrated with the residents having a go on the sweepstake.
This year was no exception as they had their own ‘fun Grand National’.
Husband and Wife ‘jockeys’ Sam and Taylor Whiting started the afternoon off with a Race Game, Ladies Day and drinks from the Bar.
Speaking about the special event for residents, general manager, Eleanor Wilson said: “The people who live and work here at Drummond Grange really enjoyed the festivities.
"We had everything from our staff dressing up in fancy dress for the day to our very own Grand National with staff and residents and everyone has been really keen to get involved.”
Drummond Grange care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, and provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 114 residents from respite care to long term stays.
