Concerns grow for Craigentinny man who has been missing for over a week

Police are re-appealing for information to help trace Mr Machalski who has been reported missing from his home in the Craigentinny area of Edinburgh.

It has now been over one week since Mr Machalski was last seen in Edinburgh and concerns are growing for his welfare.

There was a possible sighting of him about 12pm on Monday, December 14, in the Restalrig area but this hasn’t been confirmed and Mr Machalski has not been seen or heard of since.

He is described as around 5ft 10ins tall, with fair blonde hair that is often shaved.

He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black and gold Nike trainers.

Police have said that Mr Machalski is believed to have links to Glasgow and that it is possible he travelled there from Edinburgh.

Inspector Gordon Duff of Craigmillar Police Station said: “It has now been a week since Lukasz was reported missing and along with his family, we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and are keen to locate him as soon as possible.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen him to contact us immediately.

"Similarly, if Lukasz is reading this, let us know you are safe and well.”

Anyone who may have seen Mr Machalski, or anyone who has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to please contact the police on 101 quoting reference number 2653 of December 13, 2020.
