A collection of new family homes has been launched on a site, which once formed part of a historic Midlothian golf club.

Aimed at homebuyers looking for the ideal blend of luxury living with a short commute to the capital, Eagle’s Green, opposite the Midlothian Community Hospital, is the latest development launched by upmarket homebuilder CALA Homes (East).

The selection of four and five bedroom detached homes is being built on land, which was formerly a practice area at Broomieknowe Golf Club.

In purchasing the golf club-owned land, CALA Homes provided vital investment towards safeguarding the future of the club, by enabling it to press ahead with its proposal to enhance both its course and clubhouse, while also ensuring the proceeds of the sale were kept local.

Each home at the development is designed for family-living, with light and spacious contemporary interiors and large gardens.

Eagle’s Green is close to many local amenities in Eskbank and Bonnyrigg, while also being extremely well-connected to Edinburgh, which is just 25 minutes drive away.

The completed development will offer a total of 42 detached homes. The properties at Eagle’s Green are priced from £435,000 to £565,000.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), said: “Eagle’s Green is a prime location, so we are excited about the launch of the first properties and have already received a great deal of interest.

“This development is the perfect choice for those who are working in the centre of the capital during the day, but who wish to enjoy family life outdoors in the evenings and on weekends in a relaxed, semi-rural setting.

“We are encouraging house hunters to register their interest with us now as this is a stunning development which is well worth a visit, and we believe it’s going to be extremely popular.”
