Pathhead Players present Plays by Candlelight in Pathhead Village Hall from April 5 to 7. The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £5 and £6.50 and are available at the door.

The Players promise a pleasant evening with friends round a table, with coffee or a glass of wine, watching two short contemporary plays. The cast are performing two One Act plays – “I’m Missing You” by Helen Fox and “Goodbye Charles” by Gabriel Davis.

“I’m Missing You” was first performed in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year and was reviewed for the Scottish Arts Club drama awards for a Scottish play. It is a poignant play following the plight of Sam, searching for his teenage son after he disappeared on the London Underground. Although Sam’s life seems to be falling apart his determination and empathy begin to touch the life of others.

“Goodbye Charles” explores the journey of two young couples making the transition from long term relationship to the commitment of marriage. This is the European premier of a play adapted from its Brooklyn setting to Edinburgh.

Jill is also searching – her husband Charles has disappeared and she is following a twisty trail to find him. Along the way she meets some quirky and amusing characters as she seeks to solve the secret Charles is keeping from her.
