“It’s not a cheery song, but it will make people see that while this virus is a serious thing, you can still enjoy life without mixing and mingling with people.”

The track and video to go with it was created in three days and Double G says that it will go global.

“Reactions have been very good. I performed it yesterday online to a closed community with some friends and they have said its brilliant. Twelve 50 TV, who are a channel focusing on Scottish grime music, have said it is one of the best things to come out of COVID-19. I’m surprised how well people have loved the track.”

He added: “But I would rather that they were indoors staying safe and loving the track.”

Double G added that they have reached out to Professor Green and Drake about the track, but are not looking to profit off of its success.

“I’ve not heard any other COVID-19 songs, but we are not looking to make any money off of it. I would rather give any money it made to a charity,” he said.

Following the track’s success, they are planning a follow up track which focuses on families and keeping safe amidst the pandemic.

Double G added: “I don’t know if we could top this one, but we hope everyone out there loves it and embraces it.

“Stay safe and watch this space – Covid You will go global.”
