Edinburgh residents hit by water supply problems and 'discoloured water' due to burst water main

A number of Edinburgh residents are currently experiencing problems with their water supply – thought to be caused by a burst water main in Leith.

Scottish Water published details on their website to say they are investigating customer reports of an “interruption to their water supply” and said they are aiming to be on site as soon as possible.

The statement said: "While we investigate, please be aware that you may experience no water supply or low/intermittent water pressure.

"You may also experience discoloured water."
