Edinburgh's Holyrood Park to feature in special episode of Countryfile

Countryfile presenter, Ellie Harrison, will lead a ramble through Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park, accompanied by around 400 members of the public, in a special edition of Countryfile, when it airs this Sunday November 6th.

Five presenters led rambles across the UK in October and Edinburgh played host to the largest group of ramblers. This is the second year of the Countryfile Ramble for BBC Children in Need which will see five of their presenters head on walks in all corners of the UK to help raise money for the Charity.

Ellie will be joined by a group of young people from the Jeely Piece Club in Glasgow, a play project which is funded by BBC Children in Need.

Speaking about the ramble.

Ellie Harrison said: “It was a great delight to walk around the beautiful Holyrood Park, accompanied by the children from the Jeely Piece Club and hundreds of our Countryfile viewers.

“The weather was glorious, the views were stunning and we met some cool people – what more could you want from a ramble?”

The rambles took place in October and will be broadcast in a special extended edition of the show, the ‘Countryfile Ramble for BBC Children in Need’, on BBC One at 6pm on Sunday November 6th.
