Fire at Edinburgh's Twelve Triangles bakery limited stock across the city

A fire that broke out at Twelve Triangles central bakery this morning, Friday, January, 15, is being investigated as the company works to rebuild its stock levels.

A spokesperson for the company said that all online orders and local deliveries are currently suspended, and the only shop that will be open tomorrow, Saturday, January, 16, will be the Easter Road branch in Leith.

The fire resulted in a limited number of baked goods being available at the Easter Road, Portobello and Brunswick Street branches today, while their Dalry and Duke Street shops remained closed.

Founders Rachel Morgan and Emily Cuddeford, said: “The fire is currently being investigated but the most important thing is that no-one was hurt.

"We are currently working on getting our stock levels back up, hopefully we’ll be back to normal within a week or so.

"We’d like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult period and will update everyone on our social media pages as things change.”
