M&S Straiton food shop to relocate

Set to open in 2021, the store will relocate from its current location on the lower level of the park to a unit previously occupied by Fabb Sofas.

Leah Taylor, development manager at Peel L&P Retail Parks, said: “In these uncertain times, we’re pleased to be moving forward with the new plans for this M&S Foodhall.

“Straiton Retail Park is continuing to benefit from our constant investment to improve and upgrade the park for customers.”

Alongside the relocation plans for M&S Simply Food, works are continuing on ‘The Terrace’ development with Muir Construction. Set for completion in autumn 2020, the £10 million development owned by Peel L&P will house up to 11 retail operators.

With Greggs, Starbucks, Card Factory, The Works, Trespass and Archers Sleepcentre already committed to the site.

As part of this journey, we’re excited to be opening a brand-new large M&S Foodhall at Straiton Retail Park, which will offer local customers over 50% more Foodhall space than our current store. The new store will be completed this Winter and we will keep the community updated as the works progress.”
