Online Midlothian Science Festival starts this week
The Midlothian Science Festival is about to launch online filled with things to watch, read and do over the October break.
Each day from Saturday, October 17 to Sunday, October 25, new content will be released on the festival’s website and social media channels, aimed at audiences of all ages.
The festival team are working with organisations across the region and beyond to bring the best of science to people in Midlothian. As well as content that you can enjoy in your own time, this year’s online Midlothian Science Festival will feature a number of exclusive live events.
Join the Fun Scientists for online versions of their interactive family science shows, and meet scientists from the University of Edinburgh and Nepal in a live session exploring science across two continents. All of these activities are free, just sign up via the Festival’s website.
Looking for fun, hands-on science to do at home with the kids over the October break? Gather up some simple items from around the house and get experimental with [email protected] investigations from the University of Edinburgh and activities from the Royal Society of Biology.
Want to find out about the world-leading science happening on your doorstep and around the world? Catch up with science talks from scientists, doctors and vets at your local universities, as well as activities with a Polish flavour from our friends at the Silesian Science Festival.
