Hide AdPeter Wright has written four books about the landscape of Scotland have inspired a number of people to undertake great journeys into or through the Scottish countryside.
He was delighted by the news of being honoured by his former college, saying: “When I was a student at the College myself, many years ago, I did think that the forest and grounds were a very underused resource. I loved walking there almost every day, and felt I was somehow engaging
with their many natural qualities in an enriching way. So, it really gives me enormous pleasure to see how innovatively Newbattle Abbey College is now exploiting its nature-filled surroundings to the full – for people of all ages and for such diverse learning purposes. This really is blazing a trail
for personal development in an outdoor setting: for which I offer my hearty congratulations to all involved.
