The pop legend will be at the venue on May 31 – the day after she appears on stage at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

The announcement comes two days after the 48-year-old became the sixth celebrity to leave hit BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing, when she thanked producers for their support following her highly-publicised double mastectomy.

Mark Mackie, director of Regular Music, said: “We are delighted that Anastacia is returning with The Ultimate Collection Tour in 2017 and will be performing in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.”

In April 2013 the star was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time – a decade after her first battle – but found solace in writing songs. The ‘Ultimate Collection’ released in November last year just over 16 years after she had her first hit with ‘l’m Outta Love’. It became the biggest selling single of the year and she went on to have success with a further six studio albums, selling more than 30 million records.
