'Thin and unwell' bleeding dog found in Edinburgh park with infected mass

The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found in an Edinburgh park with "a bleeding, infected mass in his scrotum".
The chocolate Labrador was located by a member of the public in St Katherine’s Park in Gracemount on 11 February.

Hide AdEmergency veterinary treatment was arranged for the canine, who was described as "thin and unwell".
Scottish SPCA inspector John Toule said, “We were notified that a sick dog had been discovered by a member of the public in a local park.
“The dog was so thin and unwell, we had to arrange urgent veterinary treatment.
“He was found to be underweight with a bleeding, infected mass in his scrotum.

Hide Ad“One of our animal rescue and rehoming centres is providing him with the care he needs.
“We are keen to speak to his owner as soon as possible, or anyone else who can tell us more about how the dog came to be in this condition.
