An Edinburgh teenager has been reported missing as police launch appeal for information.

Vo Van Tu was last seen in the Calder Gardens area of the city at around 7.30am on Wednesday, April 21.

The 17-year-old is Vietnamese, around 5ft 6, slim to medium build with short dark hair.

He is believed to be wearing a red puffer jacket and dark trousers.

Police Scotland are concerned for his wellbeing due to the length of time he has been missing and his limited English.

They are asking for anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

Inspector Caroline Flynn, from Drylaw Police Station, said: “We have growing concerns for Vo Van Tu’s wellbeing, partly due to his limited English and the length of time since he was last seen.

“If you believe you have seen him in Edinburgh, or may know his whereabouts, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2896 of 21 April.”
