Pets charity in dogs plea

A CITY pet charity that won a £2000 grant from the Kennel Club Charitable Trust to assist vulnerable dog owners is seeking new volunteers.

Pet Care Network helps take care of dogs when owners are not able, due to illness, disability or social problems.

The grant was awarded in March and has since helped a number of dogs needing fostering and veterinary treatment.

This festive season, the charity is appealing for more volunteers as winter is typically the busiest time of year.

Theressa Hyde from Pet Care Network said: “We have a few dogs our foster carers are looking after at the moment which have been helped through the Kennel Club Charitable Trust.”
