Marionville Road in Edinburgh has been cordoned off by police after a collision between a police vehicle and an off-road motorbike.

Police Scotland have confirmed they are on the scene as a man has been taken to a nearby hospital.

The collison took place near Smokey Brae on Marionville Road, near the fire station.

The extent of the man's injuries are not known at this time.

A Police statement read: "Police and emergency services are in attendance at Marionville Road in Edinburgh following a collision between a police vehicle and a motorbike.

"A man has been taken to hospital. Officers remain at the scene."
