Midlothian Lib Dems have called on the council to consider the needs of cyclists in the new Local Development Plan.
The Lib Dems claim the needs of cyclists are an afterthought in the draft plan.
Lib Dem campaigner Ross Laird said: “For too long cycling has received little investment. We need to recognise that if we are to change people’s travel patterns, we need to invest in new cycling infrastructure.”
