Police appeal after road rage attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road rage attack on a van on the A6093 between Pencaitland and Dalkeith.

The incident happened between 12.30pm and 1pm on Monday, April 1, at the junction with the B6371 to Ormiston.

A man was driving his Ford Transit from Haddington to Pathhead when a silver Citroen Saxo overtook then stopped in front of him, causing him to brake.

A male passenger then left the car and smashed the van’s driver-side window and kicked the door panel before getting back into the Citroen, which then sped off.

The van driver was uninjured and contacted police, who have been continuing 
their inquiries for the past week in an attempt to trace the vehicle.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their investigation to come forward abd call them on 101.
