Police name 47-year-old man killed in Midlothian crash

Police have confirmed that the man who died following a collision in Howgate was Ewen Chisholm from Perth.

Police have named the man killed in the accident as Ewan Chisholm.

The 47-year-old was driving his red Citroen Berlingo van on the A6094 when it struck a dry stone wall and overturned.

Emergency services were called at 3.40pm on Saturday 29 October, but Ewen was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His 14-year-old male passenger was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

The road was closed in both directions until approximately 8.30pm to allow investigations to be conducted.

Anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to officers is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
