Police probe corpse finds

POLICE have investigated the discovery of more than 60 sets of suspected human remains in the last three years, new figures have revealed.

But in only eight of the cases did the remains prove to be human, and each were treated as “non-suspicious” deaths.

In April, police identified the human remains found by a hilllwaker on Salisbury Crags the previous month as belonging to 25-year-old Alan Templeton, who was last seen in November 2006.
