Police thank supporters following Turriff v Hibs match

Police have thanked those who attended the Turriff United Football Club game against Hibernian Football Club on Sunday, September 4.

The Irn Bru Cup game passed without any incidents or arrest and officers would like to thank Turriff FC, the community and fans of both teams.

Match Commander Murray Main said: “We worked closely with both clubs ahead of the match as well as the British Transport Police.

“It was a busy crowd at the Haughs Stadium for the Irn-Bru Cup but I’m pleased to say the event was a great success.

“In the region of 2000 people were welcomed to the area and no arrests were made.”
