‘Bothy’ gets green light
CONTROVERSIAL plans for a £5 million security pavilion in front of the Scottish Parliament have been approved.
The extension, which will mean visitors can be searched before entering the parliament itself, was described by one critic as a “bothy”.
Holyrood bosses now plan to seek expressions of interest from building contractors who want to bid for the construction of the facility, then decide whether to proceed to a full tender process.
