An Advertiser reader has revealed his thoughts about the recent Scotland Decides meeting, ahead of our independence debate next week.

Bill Kerr-Smith attended the Kenny MacAskill-led meeting at the National Mining Museum in Newtongrange last week.

He said: “I was pleasantly surprised at how well attended the meeting was.

“I’m looking forward to The Advertiser debate in April, as I think it will be more informative to have several points of view, rather than just the official line which, frankly, I could have trotted out myself.”

The Advertiser debate will take place at McSence Business Park in Mayfield on Thursday, April 3, from 7pm to 9pm. It’s free to attend, but numbers are limited. Email with “independence debate” in the subject box to book tickets or submit questions. Alternatively call our newsdesk on 0131 561 6614.
