A LOANHEAD marine engineering company has played down its appearance in the latest Wikileaks documents.
MacTaggart Scott, based in Hunter Avenue, has been included in a list of facilities around the world, which are said to be key to American security.
The firm, which won its first US submarine equipment order in 1983, has been described as “critical to the ship submersible nuclear” on the list, which is classified as secret and not for foreign nationals.
On Monday, MacTaggart Scott managing director Richard Prenter told the Advertiser: “I am more worried about the snow today to be honest. We have got pretty good security here but we are a pretty insignificant player in this.”
