The Scottish Liberal Democrats have just one political priority at this time – recovering from the pandemic crisis.

Covid-19 has drastically affected our health service, our economy, and the world of education – and getting all of them back on track should be at the heart of what the next Scottish Government focuses on.

Midlothian North and Musselburgh deserves an MSP who prioritises those issues which are most important to our daily lives, and not one who just wants to play with the endless political footballs of Brexit or independence.

I want to see the Scottish Liberal Democrats elected and able to boost Scotland’s mental health services, to create jobs, and to help pupils catch up.

As a committed environmentalist I am also determined that our recovery from the pandemic should go hand in hand with the urgent recovery that Scotland’s nature needs to help us tackle the climate emergency.

We have a big job ahead of us if we want to build a Scotland that we can be proud to pass to on to the generations to come.

But our most important priority should be putting recovery first.
