Nicola Sturgeon reflects on last five years as First Minister with never-before-seen photo

Nicola Sturgeon has reflected on the last five years in office with a never before-seen photo.

The First Minister, who succeeded Alex Salmond in November 2014, shared a picture on Twitter of herself on the phone to then-prime minister David Cameron.

In the distance, the Shard skyscraper in London is visible.

She told followers: “Five years ago in London, on the day after the 2015 General Election.

“I was about to go to the service for the 70th anniversary of VE Day (hence the hat).

“This is me on the phone to David Cameron. It seems like both 5 minutes and a whole lifetime ago,” she mused.

Ms Sturgeon has dealt with three different prime ministers since the photo was taken.

She is expected to make an announcement relaxing rules around outdoor exercise during the lockdown at some point this weekend.
