The countdown is on to this year’s Poltonhall Community Gala Day, which takes place on Sunday, June 2, on the old blaze area at Lasswade High School.
Organisers hope it will be the best gala ever and, if weather permits, the exciting programme of planned events suggests there is no reason why it should not be.
The parade will commence from Polton Mill bus terminus at noon, taking in Polton Road West, Polton Avenue Road Rosewell Road and Eskdale Drive on route to Lasswade High playing fields.
Midlothian MSP Colin Beattie (SNP) will official open the gala at 1pm, and this will be followed by a performance by Bonnyrigg & Lasswade Brass Band.
Wristbands, allowing free access to attractions in the park, can be purchased for £5 on the day, and local school and nursery children can collect a goodie bag when purchasing a wristband.
The gala committee would like to congratulate all of the gala court and thank them and their families for taking part in the proceedings.
