In its traditional home of Rosefield Park, this year’s great day out for all the family includes competitions, yes the search is on for the best vegetable and best homemade beer, to name but a few, a dog parade, duck race, train display, tug of war, live music and a variety of stalls.

The Portobello Timebank will be there with their trademark Really Free Market. For those not familiar with the concept, all you have to do is bring something along that you own and that you no longer need, and add it to the sharing table.

You can then look for something on the table that will be useful to you, irrespective of how much it’s worth, and it’s yours.

No money changes hands. It free.

And don’t forget to visit the tea and beer tents - their contents are not free.
