Teams of budding chefs from Midlothian’s six high schools have been tasked with creating a culinary masterpiece.
As part of the Midlothian Food and Drink Awards, S3 students have to come up with a stunning dessert which will be served at the awards ceremony in June.
The schools competition, sponsored by the Buccleuch Estates, has seen teams of two from the schools enter their ideas for the perfect pudding along with appropriate costings and recipes.
Six teams - one from each school - will then vie for the honouring of having their entry served to the guests at Oxenfoord Castle.
