Provost slams Dalkeith club officials

A MASS brawl outside a Dalkeith club resulted in every police officer in Midlothian and East Lothian being called to the scene.

A ‘divisional assistance shout’ went out earlier this month at Dalkeith Miners’ Welfare Social Club after 50 to 60 people became involved in an early-morning disturbance.

And the club officials’ response to a post-incident meeting with police has been slammed by Provost Joe Wallace (SNP), who called for the club licence to be reviewed as a matter of urgency.
