£500k store replacement
The Co-operative is investing £500,000 to open its new store in Bankton Retail Centre, after the former store in the centre suffered fire damage last year.
The new store in Livingston will open its doors on Thursday, March 8. On the opening day, children from Williamston Primary School will perform the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am with store manager Simon Ramage. The youngsters will receive a donation of £200 for school funds.
The old store was severely damaged in a blaze last May.
